How It All Started

One day, Debbie Sy was went down the internet rabbit hole of solar cooking in search of something she could do to slow down the constantly warming summers and keep her house cool in the heat. She ended up discovering solar cooking and fell in love with it because it is easy to use, saves energy, and makes delicious food. San Jose Solar Cooking was established in 2022 as a way to promote solar cooking in her community and share her love of cooking food. 

Mission

The goal of San Jose Solar Cooking is to encourage people to use free, clean energy to decrease the strain on local power grids and slow down global warming while making fantastic food in the process.
